Jeune quatuor issu de la scène de Cardiff, Slate incarne une nouvelle génération de conteurs gallois. Entre post-punk viscéral, lyrisme poétique et tension cathartique, leur premier EP Deathless (chez Brace Yourself Records) plonge dans une narration intime et tourmentée. Enregistré d’une traite, il suit le parcours d’un·e protagoniste à travers une journée, entre douleur, lumière et rédemption. Porté par la voix habitée de Jack Shephard, les guitares hantées d’Elis Penri et la rythmique dramatique de Raychi Bryant et Lauren Edwards, Slate sculpte un son dense et littéraire, où chaque morceau agit comme une pièce d’un poème en mouvement.
