And one cult classic coming up! After headlining last year’s Pitchfork festival in Chicago, Belle and Sebastian’s six Glaswegian legends will visit the Paris edition for one of their rare but ever enchanting French concerts. The 20-year career led by Stuart Murdoch finds the band as fresh as ever, with timeless pop songs whose class and perfection are still rarely equalled today. Four years (only!) after “Belle and Sebastian Write About Love”, the band will be playing their future ninth album, a Eurovision-inspired creation described by Murdoch in these terms: “I want to do an album that one song feels like it could be the (Eurovision’s) Cyprus entry for 1974.” Expect the following: a powerful live performance, a dozen performers on stage with glorious string sections, the electric charisma of their lead singer; in short, all the ingredients for a spectacular concert.
