Upon releasing their first album “Take The Kids Off Broadway” in 2012, Foxygen was often compared to MGMT: a 2-boy flower-wearing. But Sam France and Jonathan Rado have shed all these similarities by delivering music that is as unique and personal when soft and tender as it is when passionate and psychedelic. After last year’s critically acclaimed second album “We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic”, rumours of dissension and separation within the band were rampant; but their explosive return to the stage (as 4 piece band) has laid waste to all rumours. France, their unpredictable singer, is famous for unleashing his personal demons on stage, hitting himself with the microphone, climbing on the equipment, and launching into more or less coherent rants. Oh boy!
