All those present at the second edition of the Pitchfork Music Festival Paris still remember the poignant, ghostly, and acrobatic performance of How To Dress Well. American songwriter Tom Krell has a high pitched voice, fragile yet groovy and sensual, similar to The Weeknd, fed on Michael Jackson falsettos. In the two years since his last album, Krell has evolved a good deal, proof being his third album, What Is This Heart?, where crystalline R&B ballads pull heart-strings, and the fog of his earlier dreamy sound has lifted, revealing a more clear, pop approach. The man who has collaborated with such greats as Greene, Shlohmo, Active Child, or Forest Swords, is set to take the hearts of the unsuspecting crowds.
