When deciding on the next greatest beat-maker, look to Montreal and 21 year-old Kevin Celestins, AKA Kaytranada. His first album, released on Jakarta Records, was already a huge hit. After a move to Brodinski’s Bromance label, he is now going to XL Recordings, the home of artists such as Adele or Vampire Weekend. He has produced some brilliant Hip-Hop and R&B remixes (Janet Jackson, Missy Elliot, Jill Scott), and, with neighbours such as Lunice or Vlooper, is close to the Piu Piu movement. Though his new EP will be released on the world’s biggest Indie label, his abundance of extra material has allowed him to share with us a bundle of up to 20 tracks, ready to drown us in a fantastic wave of beats. You have been warned.
