Although he comes from the same country that spawned Tiestö or Armin Van Buuren, the Dutch DJ and producer Martyn, or Martijn Deijkers, is one of the greats. He is also an expert in the art of unexpected shifts. He was first labelled drum & bass, but his first album “Great Length” put him in with dubstep, without ever really fitting in: his music gladly flirts with deep house, dub, or techno. He is now releasing records on the mythical Ninja Tune label (Bonobo, Cinematic Orchestra, Amon Tobin…) despite being the owner of his own label 3024, and has released this year a third album, a dance floor masterpiece. The collaboration with his pal Four Tet is a techno steamroller that proves he is the king of style-blending. The ever-growing crowds have been constantly surprised by the cleverness of his DJ sets and live performances.
