Grande Halle de la Villette,
After recording his first EP in 2014 on an old 4-track tape borrowed from TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, Moses Sumney then went on to tour with other big names like Beck, James Blake and Sufjan Stevens. And then in 2016, his name blew up on the scene. His hypnotic falsetto soul-folk is boosted by an even bolder production, while his unique songwriting talent and his live shows are each more striking than the next. His vocals are full of the most unlikely modulations, while he has a sort of spiritual warmth that’s right up there with gospel. Moses Sumney combines a powerful sort of swing with hypersensitivity.
