Could this be Trap music’s missing link, the one to infuse a bit of glamour into a genre that often lacks sex appeal? Alex Crossan is (very) young, British, talented, and has already accumulated some highly respectable vocal collaborations with such artists as Nao, Jay Prince, or Denai Moore. He takes those voices, plays around with them, laying them down on his soft off-beats, adding a blanket of synthetic background (which are reminiscent of a certain James Blake), presenting us with a sound that warms us to the bones, yet flirts dangerously with disaster. The true mark of a great artist.
