Last year, the festival welcomed Lindstrøm, the head of the Norwegian disco mafia. This year, his good friend Terje Olsen, AKA Todd Terje, is representing his country. Growing up in rural Norway, Terje dreamed of becoming a jazz pianist, before dropping everything to study physics. That was until he discovered house music and especially Norwegian nu-disco pioneer Bjørn Torske. Since then, he has hung around the likes of Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas, moving out of their shadows to project his own back onto them. His latest creation, the Strandbar EP and its eponymous single (a 9 minute bomb of heady piano chords) has set the mood for this summer. The boss of Olsen Records is definitely a dance floor magician.
