Hank Heaven n’avait pas prévu de devenir auteur·ice-compositeur·ice. Virtuose de la guitare jazz dès l’adolescence, iel a d’abord accompagné Samia, Gus Dapperton ou Del Water Gap en tant que musicien·ne de l’ombre. Mais l’envie d’écrire s’est imposée, encouragée par Jake Luppen (Hippo Campus). Un an plus tard, Call Me Hank révélait un talent singulier, capable de naviguer entre hyperpop, ballades au piano et pop-country mordante. Aujourd’hui en pleine affirmation de soi, Hank transforme ses luttes personnelles en chansons viscérales, comme sur “Plan 2” ou “Reno”, extraits de l’album Loaded Dice. Des récits lucides, vibrants, entre désillusion et quête d’apaisement.

Hank Heaven never set out to be a songwriter. A jazz guitar prodigy in their teens, they first made a name backing artists like Samia, Gus Dapperton, and Del Water Gap. But songwriting found them anyway, spurred on by Hippo Campus’ Jake Luppen. A year later, Call Me Hank revealed a sharp, genre-blurring voice—spanning hyperpop, piano ballads, and biting pop-country. Now in a phase of self-acceptance, Hank channels personal struggles into vivid, vulnerable songs like “Plan 2” and “Reno,” from the upcoming Loaded Dice. Raw and introspective, these tracks document a search for balance between chaos and clarity, fun and growth.
