Real Farmer est un quatuor (post)punk singulier originaire de Groningue, nommé en clin d’œil à l’enfance rurale de son chanteur. Né d’un après-midi entre amis à écrire des morceaux, le projet est devenu un groupe soudé. Leur musique oscille entre la tension du punk contemporain et une mélancolie post-punk plus sourde : tantôt anguleuse et explosive, tantôt lente et menaçante. Ils chantent la solitude, les chagrins et la quête d’identité avec une sincérité totale, portée par l’urgence de l’instant.

What began as an afternoon of friends writing punk songs has grown into a tightly bonded band.
