Alex Amen est un artiste et auteur-compositeur de 25 ans originaire du Texas. À 18 ans, il quitte le Texas pour la Californie afin d’étudier le cinéma, mais abandonne après un semestre pour s’installer à la « Dittman Family Commune », liée aux mouvements contre-culturels des années 60. Il y fonde “American Slang” en 2017. Après la séparation du groupe, il déménage sur une île du Puget Sound où il passe trois ans en isolement à explorer la mycologie, l’alpinisme, la poésie et la construction de bateaux en bois. En 2023, il autoproduit son premier album dans un studio qu’il a construit au Zorthian Ranch. Il vit maintenant à Los Angeles, actif dans la scène folk, Americana et country.

Alex Amen is a 25-year-old artist and songwriter from Texas. At 18, he moved to California to study filmmaking but dropped out after one semester, relocating to the « Dittman Family Commune », linked to the 60’s countercultural movements. There, he formed “American Slang” in 2017. After the band broke up, he moved to an island in the Puget Sound, spending three years in isolation exploring mycology, mountaineering, poetry, and wooden boat building. In 2023, he self-produced his first record in a self-built studio at the Zorthian Ranch. He now lives in Los Angeles, performing and releasing music in the city’s folk, Americana, and country scene.
