L’autrice-compositrice-interprète Arima Ederra, originaire  de Los Angeles, sort son deuxième album, A Rush To Nowhere, sur son label Arima’s Lab/RCA Records. Elle a inauguré ce nouveau chapitre créatif avec les singles « Heard What You Said » et « First Time », qui ont posé les bases de l’univers visuel intimiste de l’album. Ce dernier est centré sur la notion de temps qui s’écoule en spirale, un concept qu’elle a imaginé avec Jesse Crankson et Jake-Isaac Elwin du groupe Obsolete. 

Composé en grande partie lors de ses voyages loin de son domicile à Los Angeles, le nouvel album d’Arima suspend le temps pour une méditation sur son passé, son présent et son avenir. Elle choisit d’écrire à travers le temps, langage tourbillonnant de la vie humaine, plutôt que de suivre un récit linéaire. Souvenirs, extraits de journal et déclarations d’espoir s’entremêlent pour former une œuvre profondément personnelle et sincère.

LA-based singer-songwriter Arima Ederra releases her sophomore album, A Rush To Nowhere viaArima’s Lab/RCA Records. Arima opened this new creative chapter with early singles “Heard What You Said” and “First Time”, which established the subdued visual language of the album centered on the spiraling nature of time that Arimaconceived of with Jesse Crankson and Jake-Isaac Elwin of Obsolete. She also released “You’re My”, a radiant love song that she performed as part of a medley with album cut “Air and Everywhere” for a live performance visual directed by Neema Sadeghi and shot at Union Station in LA, recorded the same day as her special pre-release free show for fans.

Largely written during stints traveling away from her home base of LA, Arima’s new album halts time for a meditation on her past, present and future, choosing to write through time as the spiraling language of human life rather than a linear narrative. She collapses memories, journal entries and hopeful declarations together into a body of work that’s wholeheartedly personal and earnest.
