Coals – le duo formé par Kacha et Lucassi – s’est rapidement fait connaître grâce à des enregistrements « faits maison » partagés sur YouTube il y a quelques années. Depuis, le groupe s’est produit dans de nombreux festivals internationaux, notamment Positivus, Pohoda, Metronome Prague, MENT Ljubljana, Eurosonic, Primavera Sound et Iceland Airwaves. À noter qu’au cours de leur séjour à Reykjavik, Coals a enregistré une session live pour la légendaire radio KEXP, au Kex Hostel. En Pologne, ils se sont produits sur les scènes de festivals majeurs tels qu’Open’er, OFF et Fest Festival.

Leur premier album, *Tamagotchi* (2017), puisait son inspiration dans la « hauntologie » et l’esthétique « glitch ». Coals se distingue par un son qui décloisonne les genres — mêlant des éléments de dream pop, art pop, chillwave, ambient pop, cloud rap et R&B — tout en échappant à toute classification rigide. Ils qualifient eux-mêmes leur style, en toute simplicité, de « cold pop ».

Coals – the duo of Kacha and Lucassi – quickly gained recognition thanks to their homemade recordings shared on YouTube a few years back. Since then, they have performed at numerous international festivals, including Positivus, Pohoda, Metronome Prague, MENT Ljubljana, Eurosonic, Primavera Sound, and Iceland Airwaves. Notably, during their stay in Reykjavik, Coals recorded a live session for the legendary KEXP radio at Kex Hostel. In Poland, they’ve graced the stages of major festivals such as Open’er, OFF, and Fest Festival.

Their debut album Tamagotchi (2017) drew inspiration from hauntology and glitch aesthetics. Coals are known for their genre-blending sound — incorporating elements of dream pop, art pop, chillwave, ambient pop, cloud rap, and R&B — while avoiding rigid classification. They describe their own style simply as cold pop.
