Depuis leur arrivée à Londres en 2024, MORN s’est rapidement imposé sur la scène underground DIY de la capitale, enchaînant les concerts à guichets fermés, notamment des performances explosives au Windmill Brixton, clôturant ainsi l’Independent Venue Week. Ils ont également figuré sur la liste des talents émergents de Glastonbury. MORN est une nouvelle sensation marquante, tout droit sortie des terres agricoles de Monmouth, au Pays de Galles. 

Leur arrivée est annoncée en force avec le titre « Modern Man », un morceau chaotique et haletant, véritable train lancé à toute allure. MORN y tisse des riffs de guitare incisifs et un son fuzz grondant, avec une urgence qui donne l’impression qu’ils n’en peuvent plus d’attendre la fin du morceau. Avec son refrain nihiliste et entêtant « La vie est nulle quand on est seul, mais ça va », et son final déjanté de « La la la », MORN s’impose d’emblée comme un groupe virtuose qui transforme le chaos en une expérience cathartique. « Modern Man » est une introduction captivante pour un groupe qui ne fait que commencer.

Since landing in London in 2024, MORN have quickly embedded themselves in the capital’s DIY underground, selling out headline shows across London including feral, full-throttle sets at The Windmill Brixton, closing out Independent Venue Week. They also saw themselves included in Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent longlist. MORN are a striking new presence emerging from the farmlands of Monmouth, South Wales.

Two sets of siblings crafting a compelling blend of what they refer to as “doom over beautiful chords. ” Announcing their arrival with the breathless, runaway train chaoticism of ‘Modern Man’ , MORN weave spiky guitar passages and rumbling fuzz, with an urgency that feels as though they can’t get to the end of the song fast enough. With its nihilistic gang vocal of “Life is sh*t when you’re all alone, but it’s fine” , and its spiral into an unhinged closing chorus of “La la la”s, MORN are marking themselves out early as a dextrous band that are happy wrestling bedlam into something cathartic. ‘Modern Man’ is a thrilling introduction to a band just getting started.
